School Funding

One of the interesting aspects of poverty in this country is how education dollars are allocated to schools (Public School Funding and the Role of Race). This is typically based on property values local to the school (Public School Funding). So schools in wealthy areas get more money. In. The. Same. County. I live in the second most liberal county in the country (Americas Top 20 Most Liberal Friendly Counties). It is the same here. You see, this is how you keep poor people out of your school. And, of course, poor people are frequently brown people. And it means liberals are hypocrites.
