Trump Tax Cut

There is no reason for a corporation to give any extra money it gets to workers. The incentive for all public corporation C level executives is to increase the stock price. One aspect of this is to reduce costs. Almost always highest costs are people. So the incentive is to reduce people. This explains why automation is popular. It has been well documented that large amounts of the Trump tax cut went to stock buy backs, which directly increase the stock price. And to employee bonuses, which are one time payments and are NOT raises (which would increase costs).
